SALT LAKE CITY ? A federal grand jury has indicted two former Salt Lake City airport employees and another man on conspiracy and drug possession charges.
Authorities say they smuggled about 500 grams of methamphetamine between Utah, California and Georgia by bypassing airport security and using employee doors to move the drugs through Salt Lake City and Los Angeles airports.
The 10-count indictment was unsealed Friday in Salt Lake City's federal court.
It charges 43-year-old Angel F. Segura, 20-year-old Jesus A. Aleman, and 29-year-old Oswaldo Rosas with conspiracy, entering an airport area in violation of security requirements and attempted drug possession, among other counts.
Authorities say it began in October and continued into June.
Segura was held Friday. Aleman and Rosas were released pending a Monday hearing. It wasn't immediately clear if they have attorneys.
