Chinese Health System Symposium Set For Indy

(Indianapolis, Ind.) - Zhejiang Vice Governor Mr. Zheng Jiwei will lead a 12-member health delegation from Indiana's Sister State of Zhejiang Province. The delegation will include representatives from the Zhejiang Health Bureau, and Hangzhou Jiulisong and Zhejiang Hospitals. Vice Governor Zheng and the delegation will participate and attend the symposium. Director General Mr. Yang Jing of the Zhejiang Health Bureau will be the keynote speaker.

This high-profile conference on the health care system in Zhejiang Province is an opportunity to learn about and contribute to the Chinese health care system. The State of Indiana has enjoyed a sister state/sister province relationship with Zhejiang Province since 1987. Zhejiang Province is located on China's southeast coast, south of the Yangtze River Delta, adjacent to Shanghai. In 2010, Zhejiang was ranked 10th in population in China with 54.5 million citizens and 4th in China with a GDP of $US402 billion.
