Bulletins Live ? Rare Bugatti returns to Oxnard's Mullin ...

It must have been love at first sight for Peter W. Mullin with his first encounter of a classic Delahaye as it fueled his appreciation and passion for 1930s-era French cars. Or, perhaps it is the ultimate pleasure he derives from sharing many of the world?s most intricately engineered French-built cars with others, including Bugattis, Delages, Delahayes, Hispano Suizas, Talbot-Lagos and Voisins at his Oxnard show palace, the Mullin Automotive Museum.

Whatever the reason, Mullin has created one of the most stunning visual automotive salons in the world, one that pays pristine homage to the Art Deco era and preserves a historic movement embodying the style and sexy curves of classic French automobiles.

Since opening in April 2010, the 46,821-square-foot museum has expanded its remarkable collection to include some of the most coveted vehicles on the planet. Housing one of the world?s largest collections of Bugattis, the museum?s award-winning collection exemplifies the lure and undeniable grace of the French automobile.

?Sometimes when people hear ?automotive museum,? a wall goes up because they may think this type of museum is for car aficionados only, however we have created a space resembling a fine automotive salon distinct from other automotive museums,? said Andrew Reilly, deputy director and chief curator of the Mullin Automotive Museum. ?We are a different kind of museum, an art museum that happens to feature cars and also provides artistic viewpoints many can appreciate.?
