Castle Bank Reinvests in Community, Awards $5,000 to PADS ...

Castle Bank recently awarded McHenry County PADS a $5,000 Community Reinvestment Grant to help the agency in its efforts to serve the county?s homeless.?

?We are happy to help support our local partners in McHenry County. We remain focused on giving back to the communities we call home, and we hope this donation will help bring Pioneer Center one step closer to achieving their goals of supporting the homeless community,? said Brenda Bono, Castle Bank Branch Manager in Lake in the Hills.

McHenry County PADS homeless services, a program of Pioneer Center for Human Services, assists more than 500 people are assisted each year. Its programs are geared to address the root causes of homelessness and not just treat the symptoms, the release stated.

The monies awarded will go to assisting individuals reconnect with the community by receiving case management, job training, counseling and psychiatric services, as well as day-to-day services including access to showers, laundry facilities, computers and an address at which to receive mail.

Pioneer Center utilizes funds contributed by the community to provide direct services to over 3,000 people each year.?
