The Banyan Tree Phuket Guest's Guide Around Thalang

Phuket, formerly called Thalang, is Thailand?s largest island with a total land area of 543 sq. kilometres. This southern province of Thailand is world renowned for its wonderful beaches, tourist sites and hotel amenities like the Banyan Tree Phuket. If you are thinking about spending the summer in Siam, you should definitely dedicate a few days in this majestic location. While you are in the area, you should visit these trademark hot spots.

First up is Patong Beach, located on Phuket?s west coast and surrounded by several luxurious hotels and resorts ? one of which is Banyan Tree Phuket. Aside from being the island?s main attraction, Patong Beach is also an important center for shopping and partying, and is considered a tourist mecca for foreigners. Here, you can find a number of shops, bars, restaurants, and clubs, as well as travel agencies that can organize sightseeing escapades for Phuket?s surrounding landmarks.

Along with caves and white sandy beaches, it is every adventure-seekers? paradise, minus the expensive costs.

Up next, you should visit Kai Nok island, and frolic in its gorgeous coastline and crystal clear waters. Although it is not recommended for an overnight stay, locals do endorse snorkelling and diving in the area, as Kai Nok waters are well-known to be inhabited by schools of dolphins, reef sharks and giant clams. Another nearby diving spot is the Coral Island, which is about 10 minutes south of Phuket. Regardless of what time of year, visitors will be able to enjoy an abundance of tropical marine life when they visit the place.

Bangkok is also a great place to stopover when you are in Thailand. But unlike Phuket, there aren?t that many nature sites to appreciate in the city. There are, however, a lot of historical spots worth visiting, like the Grand Palace, Wat Arun and Vimanmek Palace Complex, to name a few. And of course, this is where you can see and experience, first hand, the floating market of Chao Phraya River, as well as Thailand?s very own exotic nightlife.
